North Korean students on their way up to the holy mountain Baekdu (2744 m above sea level), the highest mountain in North Korea. Kim Jong-il's official biography states that he was born in a secret military camp on Baekdu Mountain. Dense forest around the mountain provided bases for Korean armed resistance against the Japanese occupation, and later communist guerrillas during the Korean War. The Baekdu Mountain has been worshipped by the surrounding peoples throughout history. Both the Koreans and Manchus consider it the place of their ancestral origin.

17 September 2005Lydia Kirby of lower Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, like many of her 12,000 neighbors, has lived in one place all her life. When returning to her home for the first time after Katrina she finds her house destroyed and submerged under contaminated water. The only belonging she finds is an old tambourine hat. Now she and her family have lost everthing and face an uncertain future.

It was severely damaged by the hurricane Katrina and many of their residents have still not been allowed to return back because of the contamination from the oil industries that are integrated in the community.

The Atlantic Ospreys mission is to transport 4,8 tons of radio active waste, including 1,2 kg extremely toxic “super weapons grade plutonium”, to Sellafield, UK. Since all of the materials are not going to be returned to Sweden after reprocessing the transport is in clear violation of Swedish law. Sweden is essentially dumping nuclear waste in England.
